I personally love Madonna, but it was just rude of her to make that comment. Considering she herself has sampled another artists music, it was uncalled for… That alone should be worse than two songs that may “sound alike”. The comparison is getting old and the similarities are pretty much just chord progressions as stated by more knowledgeable individuals. Even in context of both these songs are rather different.
Madonna is an icon there’s no taking that away from her, but the fact is Lady Gaga can sing, produce, write, and play circles around her.
I find myself laughing more at the Madonna insults than the gaga ones, but simply because this whole thing reeks of publicity stunt. The song was released a year ago, and you don’t make that comment until you have a couple of projects coming up huh Madge? MMmhhmmmm…
Rant Over
Let’s just break this down:
- Christina has a larger vocal range, meaning that if we are being purely technical, she has a better voice than Beyonce.
- Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger and Madonna have all proven themselves to be equal or better dancers during at least one point during their careers.
- Actress, she can have that one.
- Her contributions as a designer are questionable considering it is her mother that generally designs for the House of Dereon.
- CEO of fucking what? She may be a businesswomen like many of these other women, but uhhh, a Chief Executive Officer is a very specific position that Beyonce simply is not.
- Lady Gaga, Adele, and Ke$ha are more skillful and experienced songwriters. And really, Beyonce straight up lies about writing songs. Plus, a skilled songwriter would not have such a simplistic, yet deeply confused and contradictory sense of feminism on her songs.
- Lady Gaga is a better and more prolific producer.
- Every last one of these bitches model, so maybe you’re just trying to say that Beyonce is better looking? That’s your opinion, but mehhh.
- Madonna and Lady Gaga have donated millions during their career, so step down.
I love me some Beyonce, but shit, don’t be an idiot. There is concrete evidence to disprove you. People need to understand that certain opinions can be objectively incorrect.
Let me just add no she can’t have acting. Don’t forget all the other crap she acted in before she got the oscar nom. Which I’m still confident she got just because it would of been embarrassing if she had been the only one NOT nominated.
Madonna and Lopez may not have nominations but they ACT… good or bad is left to opinion. Also I believe Gaga and Minaj have an actual background in theater. So no Beyonce Can’t have that one. XP
OH and Adele in my book is a way better singer than her as well.
